Explore history, marine biology, and art!  This three-day camp fosters artfulness, creativity, active imagination, and curiosity in the ‘little things’.  We start each day by hiking to our favorite locations on the coast and notice our local marine environment; collecting and identifying seaweeds and crabs.  Back in the studio we’ll use cyanotypes, drawings, and notes to document our collecting.  By the end of the week, we’ll assemble the documents and bind them in a book to take home. 

Kids should bring water bottle, sunscreen, and clothes that are okay to get dirty!

 We’ll be recreating our most fun and exciting projects from the last year!  Like the Bridge Making Challenge!  Using a set of materials participants will collaborate to plan and make a structure that meets the challenge requirements.  We actively use a range of skills and materials every day.  We rip, cut, fold, tape, hammer, measure, draw, paint and have fun!   We start each day with a hike to a historic location.  No matter the weather, we are outside in nature as much as possible.
